A little sports update for you all :)

Introducing this week’s SPORTS BLOG!

On Thursday the 15th of November our girl’s football squad entered a tournament, the finals! We won two matches and tied one. The results were 1-1 against Long Fleet, 1-0 to Ocean against Heatherlands and 6-0 to Ocean Academy against Talbot.

It was a tough tournament.

However, the girl’s football team is now the best in Poole! We even got to stand up in assembly and our school congratulated us on our achievement. The team that brought us victory included:

Goalkeeper - Isla

Striker - Olivia

Striker - Maisy

Midfielder - Krystal

Midfielder - Lucy

Centre Back - Kaitlin

Defender - Rosie

Defender - Zoe (Sub)

Midfielder - Freya (Sub)

It is an incredible achievement to even reach the finals, let alone win them and become the best girls football team in Poole! This leads to us representing Poole in the Dorset cup at The Littledown Centre on 7th December! (An updated report is coming soon)

Hello again, blog readers get ready for…... NETBALL!

On Tuesday the 13th November; the netball squad played their second match this year! It was against Allenbourn school. They played so well and had a fantastic time.

But the player who really stood out from the others, was Isabella!

They played a five-a-side match which they were not used to. Therefore, we lost 7-0. The team who did us proud consisted of:

Olivia (C)

April

We have a quote from the captain, she said, “It felt like the other team had more practise than us, also, they were much more aggressive than us so we were too kind.” Thank you to her for that short quote.

Mr White the sport coach said, “We are going to improve by becoming more competitive.” The thought that went through his head during the match was, ‘Why can’t we play like we do on Monday training!’ Thank you for his time!

We will see you soon to bring you news from the girls football team FINAL!J

We are here again to blog about the boys’ football tournament that took place on the 1st November! There were two teams, Team A and Team B. Team A features: Flynn, Will, Ollie, Ginto (GK), Felix, Harlen and Lucas. Team B features: Rhys, Gabriel, Ryan (GK), Romeo, Leighton, Archie and Lewis. This exciting event was arrang

ed by Sainsbury Games, it was a competitive tournament. The whole point of this tournament was for opportunities for our school. Some of the best teams took part including: Longfleet, Merley and Baden Powell but the team who really stood out was Broadstone. The ocean players quote ‘best way to improve is to keep playing and practicing like we do at lunch break.’

The two star players of the match were Romeo and Lewis who played amazingly. The results for Team A were: they won one, lost one and drew one. The results for Team B were: they won two and lost one. Both of the sport coaches say that the tactics were: DEFEND HARD AND SCORE CLEAN. We thank you for taking the time to read our blog, we will be back before you know it!J
