Cross Country at Baiter Park

On the 7th of November, we took 10 year 5 and 6 pupils to a cross country event at Baiter Park. It was a cold day with a chilly breeze blowing through. The ground was pretty water-logged because of a previous downpour, these conditions made it a very difficult and muddy run! Two teachers came to the event, Mr White and Miss James, and a surprise visit from Mrs Quarrie. Our first girl finisher (Mali) came 4th out of around 200 other girls. Our first boy finisher (Cameron) came 6th in his race against around 200 others. Well done everybody as they all finished in the top 90. This is a huge achievement as children from around 15 other schools competed in this event.

Our boys were: Cameron, Lewis, Oakley, Patrick and Harlen.

Our girls were: Mali, Kate, Anais, Sharon and Lara. Well done to everyone that took part.

We were also lucky enough to bring a sports journalist and Jake said "It was wonderful to come to this event in person to watch and cheer on the competitors. It was a great feel-good atmosphere despite the wet, muddy conditions. All the pictures were taken by me as well, luckily we didn't have any wipeouts."
